Germany to ease ban on UK travellers from January 4

From January 4, Germany will allow visitors from the UK.

The UK will be classified as a high-risk area from midnight on Tuesday, according to a statement on the German embassy website.

The ban on carriage and entry would be lifted with those who are fully vaccine free able to enter without a need to show a negative Covid test.

German citizens and residents were only allowed to travel from the UK to Germany on December 19 due to concern over the spread of the Omicron variant.
