Rob Pedregon, an airport official, told Fox News that he wasn't allowed to board because Delta staff thought he was too drunk to fly.
The passenger was escorted out of the terminal by police after he became abusive at the departure gate. Delta did not reply immediately.
Pedregon told the media outlet that the passenger punched the officer in the chest after officers arrived.
The officer tackled the man to the ground. He can be heard saying "You ruined my whole day, bro, now I have to travel a whole other day."
The video shows the passenger being handcuffed and escorted out of the airport in a wheelchair.
He was arrested for battery on a police officer. Police at the airport did not respond to Insider's request for comment.
