The top-ranked South Carolina women's basketball team lost its first game of the season, falling 70-69 in overtime at Missouri on Thursday in the SEC opener.
It was the first time that the Tigers had beaten a top team in the AP poll.
The Tigers won despite a limited roster. Aijha Blackwell is Missouri's leading scorer and rebounder, who averages a double-double. Haley Frank and Lauren Hansen both scored 21 points for the Tigers.
The game-winning layup was hit with 0.1 of a second left in overtime. The junior was coming into the game with an average of 10 PPG. Both teams called timeouts before the final tick of the clock, and the ball was thrown inside to South Carolina's Aliyah Boston. The layup went in, but the crowd celebrated as the buzzer sounded.
