The Tomb Raider game of the year edition, Rise of the Tomb Raider 20 Year Celebration, and Shadow of Tomb Raider are all available on the Epic Games Store, and they are worth the time.
It was difficult to add titles to your library earlier today, as server problems slowed down the store. According to its status page, everything should be running smoothly now, but it is not certain if people really wanted these games or if they are still having issues.
The documents that surfaced earlier this year as part of its legal battle with Apple over the App Store show how much it costs to give away games. Billions of dollars worth of software become much cheaper because the company negotiates a flat fee for the giveaways instead of per copy.
We don't know how much the company is paying Square to give away the Tomb Raider games, but an Arkham Trilogy giveaway in 2019: a relative drop in the bucket compared to the money that Fortnite brings in, plus the value of adding more customers to its games.
