Andre Johnson, Patrick Willis, Devin Hester Headline 2022 Pro Football HOF Finalists

The Pro Football Hall of Fame has a new member.

The modern-era finalist for the class of 2022, highlighted by Andre Johnson, Patrick Willis and Jared Allen, were revealed by the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Thursday.

The receiver is, of course, Andre Johnson.

One of the most prolific wide receivers in the history of the NFL is Johnson.
He spent the first 12 years of his career with the Houston Texans, but was drafted third overall by the Indianapolis Colts in 2004.
Johnson is second on the NFL's all-time receiving yards per game list, behind only Detroit Lions legend and Hall of Famer Calvin Johnson. He is the all-time leading receiver for the Texans with over 10,000 yards and over 50 touchdown in nine seasons.
Johnson led the league in receiving yards in 2008 and 2009, and he also led the league in catches in 2006 and 2008. He finished his career with 1,062 catches for 14,185 yards and 70 scores.
Ware is a LB.

Ware was a nine-time Pro Bowler, four-time All-Pro and one-time Super Bowl champion in his 12-year career.
He was drafted 11th overall by the Dallas Cowboys in 2005 and spent the first nine seasons of his career with the franchise before joining the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl in the year of his win.

Ware finished with 138.5 career sacks. He had 663 tackles, 171 tackles for loss and 229 quarterback hits.
Hester is a PR/KR/WR.

Hester was one of the most prolific return specialists.
The 39-year-old was selected by the Chicago Bears in the second round of the 2006 draft and spent the first eight seasons of his career with the franchise. He played for four teams: Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, and Seattle Seahawks.

Hester has 19 kick- and punt-return touchdown and 14 punt-return touchdown. He caught over 3000 passes for over 3000 yards and 16 touchdown during his career.
Hester was a four-time Pro Bowler.
Patrick Willis is a LB.

The San Francisco 49ers drafted him 11th overall in 2007, and he spent his entire eight-year career with them. He was a member of the 49ers Hall of Fame.

He had 20.5 sacks, eight interceptions, 53 passes defended, 16 forced turnovers, five fumbles, five recovery and 60 tackles for loss in his career. He was named the defensive rookies of the year in 2007, when he had four sacks, five passes defended, two forced turnovers, one fumbled recovery, 174 tackles, eight tackles for loss and seven quarterback hits.
Sam Mills is a LB.

Mills is a finalist for the third year in a row. It's his last chance to make the Hall of Fame. He died of cancer in 2005.
Mills joined the New Orleans Saints in 1986 and was a five-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro. He spent the first nine years of his career in New Orleans before moving to Carolina.
Mills had a career that included 20.5 sacks, 11 interceptions, 36 passes defended, 22 forced turnovers, 23 fumbled possessions and 1,265 tackles.
The LB isZach Thomas.

Thomas is a Hall of Fame finalist for the third time.

Thomas was selected in the fifth round of the 1996 draft by the Miami Dolphins and spent 12 of his 13 seasons with them.
He finished his career with 1,720 tackles, 20.5 sacks, 17 forced turnovers, 8 fumbled possessions and 17 turnovers.

The person isJared Allen, DE.

Allen was a finalist twice.
The Kansas City Chiefs selected the 39-year-old in the fourth round of the 2004 draft. He spent the first four seasons of his career in Kansas City before moving to Minnesota. He played for the Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers.
Allen finished his career with 136 sacks, which is 12th in the history of the NFL.
He was the leader in the league with 22 sacks, but fell short of the league record. He had at least 11 sacks in eight seasons.

Richard Seymour is from DE.

For the third year in a row, Seymour was named a finalist.
In 2001, the New England Patriots selected the seven-time Pro Bowler, three-time All-Pro and three-time Super Bowl champion sixth overall. He spent the first eight years of his career in New England.
Seymour finished his career with a sack, two picks, four forced turnovers, eight fumble recoveries, 498 tackles, 91 tackles for loss, and 71 quarterback hits.
Bryant Young is a defensive player.

Young is a finalist for the second time.

The San Francisco 49ers' all-time leader in sacks is the four-time Pro Bowler. He was a part of the team's Super Bowl win in 1994.
The 49ers selected the 49-year-old in 1994. He finished his career with 89.5 sacks, 20 passes defended, 12 forced turnovers, seven fumbled possessions, 627 tackles, 93 tackles for loss and 22 quarterback hits.
Reggie Wayne is a receiver.

Wayne, a six-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro, was selected 30th overall by the Indianapolis Colts in 2001. He worked for the franchise for 14 years.
The 43-year-old caught over a thousand passes for over 14 thousand yards and over 80 touchdown. He is 10th all-time in receiving yards.
Wayne is the Colts' all-time leader in games played, and he helped the team win a Super Bowl in 2007.
Torry Holt is a receiver.

Holt is a finalist for the third year in a row.

The Rams selected him sixth overall in 1999. He spent the first 10 years of his career with the Rams.
Holt had a prolific career with the Rams, catching 869 passes for 12,660 yards and 74 touchdown. He finished his career with 13,382 yards and 74 touchdown catches.
Ronde Barber is a player.

The third round of the 1997 draft was where Barber was selected by the Buccaneers.
The 46-year-old spent his entire 16-year career with the Bucs and helped the team win its first Super Bowl after the 2002 season. He holds the all-time records for defensive touchdown and intercepts.

His career totals include 28 sacks, 47 interceptions, 195 passes defended, 15 forced turnovers, 12 fumbled possessions, 1,251 tackles, 88 tackles for loss and 18 quarterback hits.
LeRoy Butler is a football player.

Four-time Pro Bowler, four-time All-Pro and Super Bowl champion, and finalist for the third year in a row, was the man named.

He spent his entire 12-year career in Green Bay after being selected by the Packers in the second round of the 1990 draft. He racked up 891 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and 20 sacks.
He was the first player in the history of the league to record 20 sacks and 20 picks.
Tony Boselli is a lineman.

A five-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro, Boselli is a finalist for the sixth time.
He was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1995. He spent his entire seven-year career in Jacksonville, but his time in the NFL was cut short because of injuries. He was one of the best players when he played.
Willie Anderson is on the show.

Anderson is a finalist for the first time.
He was selected 10th overall by the Cincinnati Bengals in 1996 and spent 12 years with the franchise before joining the Baltimore Ravens. He is considered one of the best right tackles of his era.
