Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium said that the Cleveland Cavaliers are in talks with the Los Angeles Lakers to acquire Rajon Rondo.

According to sources, an agreement is expected to be reached as soon as Friday to swap the Los Angeles Lakers guard Rajon Rondo for Cleveland's Dahntay Jones. As soon as he clears Covid protocols, he would be able to join Cleveland.

The Lakers' Rajon Rondo has not made much of an impact this season, averaging just 3.1 points and 3.7 assists in 16.1 minutes per game. He's fallen down in the rotation because of his injury and his stint in the league's health and safety protocols.
The Lakers have recently added a veteran in the form ofDarren Collison.
His second stint with the team would end after he spent the last two seasons with the Lakers, which included winning a title.
