Brandon Bolden, a running back for the New England Pats, revealed on Thursday that he had been diagnosed with cancer. He said that he has been cancer-free since the surgery.

At the time he was diagnosed with a type of carcinoma, he didn't think he'd play another down in the NFL.

"I lost most of my function on the right side of my face, but I continued to play," he said. I was okay with it because it wasn't the rest of my body.

The two-time Super Bowl champion joined the team in 2012 after being cut from Ole Miss. He spent the first six seasons of his career in New England before joining the Miami Dolphins.
In the 16 games that he played for Miami in the last year of his career, he ran for 91 yards and two touchdown and caught three passes for 13 yards and one score.
Despite being behind Harris on the depth chart, Bolden is having his most productive season since 2015. He has 36 carries for 176 yards, 37 catches for , and one touchdown in 15 games.
