COVID-19 outbreak within Denver Nuggets forces postponement vs. Golden State Warriors

The Golden State-Denver game was postponed by the NBA due to the unavailability of eight players.

The 11th game of the season has been postponed.

Sources told Adrian that the league's health and safety protocols were entered by the Nuggets coach and other staff members.

The team said that forwards Jeff Green and Zeke Nnaji and guard Bones Hyland had also entered protocols.

Four players are questionable for the game, including Monte Morris, Austin Rivers and Vlatko Cancar.

Draymond Green took to social media to vent his frustration over the postponement.

How do you prevent games from being canceled when you have rules in place? Is that a competitive advantage for other teams? The guys that weren't on the protocol list didn't play a role in the loss. Don't straddle the fence if you pick a side.

We will play them at full strength when the game is re-arranged. They had to sneak a win when we weren't at full strength. Let's make it understandable.

The postponement would likely add a back-to-back to the Warriors' schedule.

Sources told ESPN that David Adelman will be acting head coach for the Nuggets.

NBA coaches who have entered the COVID-19 protocols are Doc Rivers, Frank Vogel, Monty Williams, Billy Donovan, Chauncey Billups, and Mark Daigneault.

The Denver Post reported about the two men.
