There have been reports of problems with the first major update for the Pixel 6 and Pro. The company stopped releasing the December 2021 update to investigate reports of calls dropping.

A new version with all the previously announced features and a fix for the disconnection issue should be ready by late January according to a post on the Google Support forums. If you don't have any problems with the new software, you can keep using it, but if you are having connection issues, you can factory reset your device.

Hey community.
>
The December software update to the devices was paused after some users reported that calls were dropping or being disconnected. A fix for the problem will be in a software update by the end of January. The fixes and improvements that were planned in December will be included in this update. If you received the December software update on your phone and are still having issues with mobile internet, you can perform a factory reset using the Android flash tool. Please back up your phone before restoring it. No action is required if you are not experiencing issues with your mobile device. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience as we roll out the fix.

The December update had a lot of fixes and fast wireless charging with the Pixel Stand 2. The new features included in the phone include a new feature called the Quick Tap to Snap, as well as digital car key support and file sharing for the ultra-wideband chip. Most owners of the latest flagship phones will have to wait a little longer before they experience all the new stuff, because of the flawed patch that is available.
