A bartender in Seattle was attacked with a broomstick on Monday after asking a customer for proof of vaccination, which is required in the city to patronizing establishments.

The incident happened at Joe's Bar and Grill in the Pioneer Square section of the city.

The suspect told Felicite that he had been shot but did not have proof of it. The man was asked to leave.

"He said, 'You're picking on me,'" Ogilvy said. I'm not going to deal with it. That's when he became hostile.

"He swung the stick as hard as he could at my face, so not only did it puncture me, but he also slit me," he said.

She needed 31 stitches to close the wound.
Police are still looking for the suspect.
