Jury finds Jeffrey Epstein friend Ghislaine Maxwell guilty in sex crimes trial

Ghislaine was found guilty of helping Jeffrey Epstein abuse girls.

On Christmas Day, she turned 60 years old and faced criminal charges. She was found guilty of five of the six counts after five days of deliberations. She is likely to spend years in prison.

The judge read the jury's verdict and she didn't seem to react.

A second trial is planned for Maxwell, who is accused of lying under oath in a lawsuit.

She is the first person to be charged in connection with the alleged sexual abuse of girls other than him.

Teenagers were the accusers in the case, and they were abused by Epstein at his properties in the United States and London.

The basis of the charges were based on conduct in the 1990s.
