Many of the top competitors in both NASCAR Cup Series and Formula 1 have the same style. She will tell you that she is aggressive and sometimes cautious. She is as prepared as anyone.

Abbate had a dream of becoming a race car driver before Grr Racing was founded.

She says that her love of racing began when she was a child, when she spent weekends watching her older brother race go-karts.

She got her driver's license at the age of 16 and immediately got involved in autocross, including the SCCA National Solo, where she finished third behind two former champion. She made her professional debut in the Trans-Am Series.

Abbate was the only female racer in the Trans-Am Series. She was second in the Trans-Am West Coast series when the final race was canceled due to Covid-19. She made her debut in the NASCAR Truck Series in May 2021, at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, where she finished 29th overall.

The driver of the No. 30 Lucas Oil Grr Racing TA2 Chevy Camaro says that he wants to run in more NASCAR races and that the Trans-Am Series is a great place to do that.

The competition is very steep, so you don't have to be intimidated. It is raw. To drive a TA2 car, you have to be very aggressive and competent, because our cars have no aids.

The Trans-Am Series was established in 1966 by the Sports Car Club of America, and it has three GT touring car formats. Each race in Trans-Am consists of up to 50 cars and takes place in February and November.

A lot of Americans don't know how entrepreneurial race car driving is. The top drivers in the NASCAR Cup Series are bankrolled by their racings teams. Kyle Busch and Chase Elliott both won the Cup Series in the same year, as well as Kyle Larson, who won the Cup Series in 2021.

On any given Sunday, you will see Kyle Busch and Chase Elliott in their cars with their logos on them.

The majority of smaller teams continue on a series of sponsorships that pay for everything from oil to brakes to spark plugs. Team owners and drivers put in place these sponsorships.

Abbate says she courted and earned her own sponsors early on in her racing career.

Abbate said that he has been finding sponsors since he started driving at the autocross level because he didn't have family backing or an angel investor that could write the big check. The first race car I ever raced had 30 sponsors on it.

Abbate said that when she and her husband built the race car, anyone willing to give them parts or fluids or contribute in any way would get their logo on the car.

Lucas Oil was the title sponsor for Abbate's cars last year.

Abbate and her husband have regular jobs. Abbate is a marketing professional in Las Vegas who works nine to five and has a Bachelor's Degree in Communications & Marketing from UNLV. Anthony is a service technician for a door company. Both live and work in Las Vegas.

The driver says that both of them have careers that allow them to participate in the Trans-Am Series. There are races every two to three weeks.

My boss has been great. When I was interviewing for the job three years ago, I told her I wouldn't be here.

NASCAR debut.

Most people don't know that I'm a race driver. Racing costs so much money that it's like no other sport.

Abbate and Grr Racing were looking to partner with a racing team that was established in the Truck Series in order to participate in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Toyota Tundra 225 at Circuit of the Americas this past May. Abbate found out that the cost to field herself and a car in the race was between $20,000 and $210,000.

Abbate said that a lot of the cost of a race is made up of different factors. The specific race you want to participate in, how far the team has to travel, the equipment, wear and tear, crash damages, and the cost of a good pit crew are some things to consider.

Abbate and Grr Racing collaborated with On Point Racing for her first NASCAR Truck Series race.

Abbate said he wasn't going to win the race. I was going to be in the race.

Abbate considers her career milestone in the NASCAR Truck Series to be one more step in her path of success. She finished the Toyota Tundra 225 on the lead lap and out-qualified up-and-coming star Hailie Deegan.

Abbate said that she loves the entrepreneurial part of owning her own small racing team, and that the name of Grr Racing is directly from her passion for racing and motorsports.

Grr Racing is about perseverance and perseverance is what Grr Racing is about. Abbate said that racing is a lifestyle. We have to make good decisions so that we can keep racing.
