The hotel is in Cabo Verde.
There is a free night certificate from the hotel.
The free night certificates are my biggest gripe with the program. I called them customer unfriendly at best and shady at worst a few months back. You can find your free night certificates online. If you have a Hilton card. It is a nice improvement, but it is not enough to break out of the 1990's that Hilton is stuck in.
It appears that Hilton helped us out with tracking our certificates. When I log into my account, I no longer see them.
Still issues with the free night certificates.
It was like Hilton wanted to throw us a bone, but only broke off the corner. They gave us a smile but they didn't correct the underlying issues.
Where are you located?
You can only find it on a browser. The free night certificates are not shown in the app. You must have at least one credit card with you to have them show up in your account. If you closed your card after earning a free night, you are out of luck.
When you log in, you can click on your name in the upper right corner and then select account. There are unused certificates and ones currently involved in a booking.
I don't know what that one is showing up for, I don't have one attached to a reservation. Maybe a problem in the new system. I've heard others say there was an extra one in their account.
It shows you how many are active, where they came from, and their expired dates. If it is an annual free night, it will tell you if it is a surpass or an aspire yearly free night.
There are still issues with the system.
This is great and all but it leaves a lot to be desired. I don't understand why non cardholders can't see their certificates. I understand that you need a card to earn a free night, but if you cancel your card, the free night certificate is still in your account, so why doesn't it show? There is a glitch in the system.
You have this info in your account, but you can't do anything with it. You need to call or send a message on social media to book your free night certificate. Hopefully this will lead to online booking. Until that happens, they will remain far behind their competitors. They have to have a competent rep on the phone to have it disappear.
The final thoughts on the free night certificates from the hotel.
This is a step in the right direction. I am happy that I no longer have to go to a hotel to get my free night certificate info. They are stuck there while all their competition is ahead of them.
