NFL Legend John Madden Dead At 85

The National Football League announced that John Madden, the legendary football coach and broadcasting legend, has died.

He was old.

He died unexpectedly on Tuesday morning.

Roger Goodell said that nobody loved football more than Coach. He was a football player. He was a great sounding board.

We will always be indebted to John Madden for all he did to make football what it is today.

Madden is one of the most well-known figures in the history of the NFL, as he dominated as a head coach of the Oakland Raiders, winning Super Bowl XI and finishing his career with a 103-32-7 record.

He went on to become one of the greatest color commentators of all time, teaming up with Pat Summerall to break down key NFL games for decades.

His popular terms "Boom!" and "Turducken" are still used by broadcasters today, even though he was in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006

Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, said that John Madden has made a more meaningful impact on the National Football League than anyone else. I know of no one who loved the game more.

Madden is most known for his association with the wildly popular football video game.

The franchise is worth around $4 billion and is played by casual fans, players, and even coaches.

Madden gained fame in his career as a pitchman, hawking products like Miller lite and Tinactin, and appearing in commercials.

Madden is survived by his wife and two sons.

I am sad.
