The Brooklyn Nets announced Tuesday that four players had cleared the NBA's health and safety protocols.

Both Irving and Durant entered the protocols 10 days ago.

More than 10 players entered the protocols at the same time, as Brooklyn had a massive COVID-19 outbreak. The Nets played two games in a row before Brooklyn returned to the court for Saturday's Christmas Day win over the Lakers and Monday's victory over the LA.

The Nets will play the 76ers at home on Thursday, the last opponent that KD played against before going into the protocols. He scored 34 points and had 11 rebound and eight assists to lead the Nets to a 114-105 victory.

Irving will not be playing in the game because of his failure to comply with New York City's vaccine mandate, even though he will likely be on the court for that game.

Irving can only play in games outside of New York and Toronto this season because he's unvaccinated, so he'll only play in Indianapolis against the Pacers. Irving will need a week or two to get back to normal after exiting the protocols, according to Nets coach Steve Nash.

Brooklyn decided to send Irving away rather than play him in only road games, so he hasn't been with the team since. The circumstances of the season, and the number of players out due to COVID-19, led the Nets to reverse course.

The following day, Irving entered the protocols.
