Boise State football program withdraws from Arizona Bowl amid COVID-19 issues, sources say

Sources told ESPN that the football program had issues that caused the Broncos to withdraw from the Barstool Arizona Bowl.

The Broncos were going to play Central Michigan on Friday. Central Michigan practiced in Tucson on Monday. The Arizona Bowl is still going on, despite the fact that the game is looking for a replacement.

The Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl is scheduled for Friday, and Central Michigan could be allowed to replace Miami in it. Washington State was left without an opponent after Miami withdrew from the Sun Bowl.

Washington State athletic director Pat Chun said in a statement that the Sun Bowl was working to find a replacement opponent for the team. The Sun Bowl will give an update later Monday.

The Arizona Bowl is one of the bowls that has been impacted by roster issues. Texas A&M withdrew from the Gator Bowl, which was replaced by Rutgers.

The season ended with a record of.500 for the Broncos. The Broncos finished third in the Mountain West Mountain Division.
