An Ode To My Dave Filoni Action Figure

The Jedi and the Force have a strong relationship with toys. You cannot have one without the other. One of the most powerful creators of Star Wars has become a part of that cross section.

The Black Series figure of a character from The Mandalorian was released by Hasbro. Unless you're a Star Wars nerd, that name doesn't mean anything to you. Wolf is not the Mandalorian himself, Grogu, Cara Dune, or even Greef Karga. He only appeared in two episodes and only had a few minutes of screen time. I bought this action figure for one reason. If it wasn't for Dave Filoni, Star Wars would probably look very different.

Filoni helped George Lucas co-create The Clone Wars TV series after working on other projects. The series kept the franchise alive for many fans. Filoni did Star Wars Rebels after that series. He created Resistance, sent it to another group, and began working on The Mandalorian, where he reinvented what Star Wars could be.

He is now an action figure. George Lucas has received an honor in the past. Lucas appeared in Revenge of the Sith as Baron Papanoida. But Trapper Wolf has a conversation. He flies a plane. If they do nice things, he forgives them. He has a bad action figure. Let's just enjoy it. The packaging is elegant.
