Anthony Martial tells Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick he wants to leave Old Trafford

Anthony Martial wants to leave the club.

The France international has only made two starts in the league this season and only four in all the other tournaments.

Lamboley told Sky Sports News that he wants to leave in order to get regular game-time. He wants to join Sevilla, while Barcelona and Juventus are interested in signing him on a loan.

"We spoke for a long time on Wednesday, and he wanted to leave," said interim United manager Ralf Rangnick.

He told me that he feels it's the right time to leave Manchester United and go somewhere else.

I could follow his thoughts but it's important to see the situation of the club.

"We have Covid times, we have three competitions in which we still have high ambitions and want to be as successful as we can be."

Martial became the world's most expensive teenage footballer when he joined United. He was United's third most expensive signing at the time after Angel Di Maria and Juan Mata.

Martial scored a superb solo goal off the bench in his debut, and has gone on to score 81 goals in 258 appearances. He has fallen down in the United forwards' pecking order after the arrival of several players.

Gary believes it is the right time for Anthony Martial to leave the club.

Martial could stay at United if an offer comes in during the January transfer window.

He told him that if there was no club showing interest in him, it should be in the interest of the club.

"So far, as far as I know, there has been no offer from any other club and as long as this is the case, he will stay."

The psychologist can help solve the Man Utd puzzle.

The revolution at Manchester United is barely a month old, yet his fingerprints can already be seen at the club.

Two matches and a week of training may have been lost to the coronaviruses, but not a second has been wasted. The areas of improvement have been identified and made known.

One of the first acts of the new manager was to bring a sports psychologist to Old United, with a close friend of his, Sascha Lense.

The appointment of Lense threw up a number of questions, from the benefits of employing a sports psychologist, to the willingness or reluctance of players to get involved.

Why wasn't a sports psychologist at Manchester United in the first place is a burning question, and one that will be commonplace across all sports in the near future.
