NFL: Washington Football Team's Jonathan Allen punches Daron Payne

Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne played college football together.

Jonathan Allen threw a punch at Daron Payne on the bench during the Washington Football Team's 56-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

The former Alabama team-mates began to argue in the second quarter as Washington was trailing 28-7

Payne poked Allen on the side of his head, before Allen swatted Payne's hand way and swung a punch at his face.

Allen said after the game that emotions are high.

I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to play that game.

Payne described the incident as "wrong place, wrong time" and other Washington defensive players stopped it.

"You have brothers?" You guys fight? Payne asked the reporters what they were doing. "It's all good."

Ron Rivera said that there would be no punishment for either player. What my players say to me is not their business.

Washington have lost more games than they have won this season, and have lost their last three games in a row.
