After the Kings lost to the Memphis Grizzles on Sunday night, interim coach Alvin Gentry called the performance "absolutely ridiculous".

"It's the most disappointed I've been in 34 years in the NBA, I can honestly say that," said the former NBA player. That performance was ridiculous. We didn't compete. We didn't guard the ball, we didn't guard the screen. We didn't follow the plan. There was no competitiveness. They played with us. Everybody in this building should be disappointed.

Fox was back for the Kings after missing nearly two weeks due to the NBA's health and safety protocol. After Fox stood and glared at a one-handed dunk in the third quarter, the Memphis went on a 24-5 run to take the lead.

Memphis went on another big run and pulled away after Sacramento got within 91-79 early in the fourth.

Last month, he was fired after starting the season 6-11. The Kings have lost seven of their past nine games and are once again outside the Western Conference playoff picture.

"I feel like teams come in here and lick their chops," said Kings guard Terence Davis. We have to protect our home court. The little things need to be fixed. There were no excuses. The team is very talented once we get on the same page. It will come along.
