Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne had to be separated from each other on the sideline after Allen hit Payne.
The two WFT players were sitting next to one another on the bench after Dallas scored three times in a row to take a 28-7 lead in the second quarter.
Payne and Allen were talking to each other. Payne was looking at Allen. Payne jabbed a finger into Allen's head. At that point, Allen stood up, swatted Payne's hand away with his left hand and swung his right hand at Payne's face.

The players were separated by three teammates, with line coach Sam Mills, Jr. getting in the middle. Payne was sitting on the bench with Allen nearby. Players tried to calm Payne down.
The players were on the field together.
Washington had lost its last two games.
