The Dallas Cowboys are the first team in the history of the division to win it.

The Dallas Morning News explained that the Cowboys had already secured their division title before they took the field for the game against the Washington Football Team. The Cowboys had a strength-of-victory tie.

The last time there was a repeat champion in the NFC East was in 1999.

The Dallas Cowboys are 10-4 on the season, which is quite a bounce-back effort from last year when they were 6-10 and dealing with a season-ending injury to quarterback Dak Prescott.

The Raiders' win took a lot of the drama out of the game, but there is still a lot at stake for the new division champion. It is still in the running for the only first-round bye in the conference.

The Packers are one game ahead of the Cowboys, but a Dallas win would mean the Rams, Buccaneers and Cowboys are all just one game back. With games against the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions remaining, the Packers are in an ideal position.

The Vikings and Lions are both 9-20 on the season, so it would be surprising if anyone other than the Packers ended up as the top seed.

The Cowboys have a chance to play their way into the No. 2 seed and earn better seeds in the playoffs.

If they finish with a.500 record, Sunday might be a must-win. The seeding may be the most important thing with so many legitimate challengers, but the Cowboys have the talent to challenge for the Super Bowl with a number of legitimate challengers.

Even though they are division winners, the Football Team is still a critical opportunity.
