A weird dude is Boba Fett.
When Disney announced The Book of Boba Fett at the end of The Mandalorian Season 2, it was not the most obvious choice of spinoff. Temuera Morrison played the role in Star Wars.
In 1980's The Empire Strikes Back, a bounty hunter with super cool armor, was portrayed as Boba Fett. Darth Vader decides to freeze Han Solo in carbonite in the final sequence of the sequel film. What if he doesn't survive? He's worth a lot to me. Fett is eaten by a sarlacc in a film. We didn't see it on film until the second season of The Mandalorian.

During the Republic Era, Boba Fett was a clone of Jango Fett. The senior Fett's DNA became the template for the Clone Wars' own army and he was given the job of the Mandalorian bounty hunter. In Attack of the Clones, we see Boba vengeance for his father's death. He becomes a fearsome bounty hunter with the signature suit, starship, and reputation that fans know so well. He's well-acquainted with the characters of the galaxy's underworld.
When we caught up with him in The Mandalorian, he was on the hunt for his armor, and a beautiful reunion eventually occurred. Fennec Shand was left for dead in the desert in Season 2, but Boba saved her life by meeting her off-screen. The two of them helped save Grogu in the finale, but they did not cross paths with the Jedi.
The Book of Boba Fett takes place on the sands of Tatooine, with Boba sitting on Jabba the Hutt's throne and Fennec at his side. The juxtaposition of Jabba and Boba as rulers is suggested to be central to this series. "Jabba ruled with fear," says the trailer. I intend to rule with honor.
The trailer for Peaky Blinders is serving up some serious Peaky Blinders vibes, and nothing about that phrase doesn't rule.
The story is being kept under wraps like all things Star Wars, but it seems fair to expect an adventure-of-the-week structure like The Mandalorian's. People are going to call in favors, build alliances, and seek revenge now that they have power, as they know that Boba and Fennec know many intergalactic lowlifes as well as Din.
This is a man of nuance, because he showed some real empathy in helping Din and Grogu, and he didn't think twice about killing Bib Fortuna, Jabba's former majordomo, for the throne. It's entirely possible that Din will return to set up The Mandalorian Season 3 and how Grogu will be missed.
Cool armor is one thing we know we'll get.
The Book of Boba Fett will be on Disney+.
