Zach Wilson escapes, then scores on longest QB run in New York Jets' history

1:40 PM

Run when you are in doubt.

Wilson, who has struggled in the passing game, delivered one of the best plays of the year on Sunday, when he did it with his legs. He scored on a 52 yard run to give the Jets a 6-3 lead. It was the longest touchdown run by a quarterback.

Wilson was sacked on a third-and-5. Wilson was able to escape because of the poor containment of theJaguars. He kept running because the right side of the field was open.

Wilson faked Rudy Ford and kept going, even though he appeared to be going out of bounds. At the 10, he ran past Andrew Wingard. He reached a top speed of 17.88 mph.

Wow, just wow, at the CBS game between Jacksonville and NYJ.

It was the Jets' longest run in a year and a half, and it came in a game that featured the top two picks of the draft. It was the longest run by a quarterback since Marcus Mariota had an 87-yarder against the Jacksonville in 2015.

In the second quarter, the Jets had a touchdown when Braxton Berrios returned a kick for a score.

HNYNUT_BERRIOS. There are 101 yards. House Call is on CBS.
