Lonzo Ball became the third player on the Bulls to enter the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols on Sunday, joining forwards Tony Bradley and Alfonzo McKinnie.
Billy Donovan landed in the protocols on Friday and will not be with the team.
The Bulls have had 14 players enter health and safety protocols in December, but only one, Devon Dotson, tested out with a pair of negative COVID-19 tests. In early November, another person landed in the protocols.
During the holiday season, players and staff will be tested on game days if they have recently contracted the virus or have received a booster shot within 14 days. Players who enter health and safety protocols must produce two negative tests within 24 hours or be isolated for 10 days.
Ball was the only Bulls player to play in all 29 games this season. He is scoring 13.2 points, with 5.1 assists and 5.4 rebound.
After the game against the Houston Rockets, Ball said he didn't do much and went back to his hometown. I'm thankful that I haven't gotten it yet.
Ball said that "Y'all jinxed me" after the news broke.
The NBA's first two games of the season were postponed because of a team outbreak in Chicago. The Bulls cleared all of their players from the league's protocols.
The Bulls released forward Alize Johnson and signed forward Bryant McKinnie to the main roster after he had 16 points and five boards in their last game.
