China has grown its economy faster than any other country in history. The growth playbook has changed despite the growth being slowed by the Pandemic. Growth has changed. Going forward, we're going to be looking at much lower growth. The party is okay with that. The engine that drives the rest of the world economy is still it. The Biden administration took a tough stance toward China this year, like the Trump administration did. I don't criticize China for their goal, but they have an overall goal to become a leading country in the world. The most powerful country in the world is the wealthiest country. That is not going to happen on my watch. Tough talk didn't deter President Xi from asserting his power over some of the big players in China who took actions against Chinese tech that wiped out billions in market cap. The Chinese leadership is willing to pay an economic price for exercising political control because of the stroke of a pen.
