Wyoming coach Craig Bohl is not one of the coaches who prefer to navigate the transfer market in private.

After losing their starting quarterback to the transfer portal less than 72 hours after their win over Kent State in the Potato Bowl, Bohl took the unusual step of selling his team as a landing spot for a transfer quarterback.

The one-time transfer rule and the ability for players to profit from their name, image and likeness were cited in a message posted to Twitter. He said his staff had a clear vision to navigate the waters.

Levi Williams, who was the Most Valuable Player in the Potato Bowl, announced on Wednesday that he was entering the portal with three years of eligibility remaining.

In nine appearances this season, the 6-foot-5 Williams threw for 970 yards, nine touchdown and five interceptions. He scored five times and ran for 482 yards.

He is one of the notable quarterbacks to enter the portal.

The co-SEC Freshman of the Year announced on Thursday that he was seeking to transfer.

Bo Nix, who won the SEC Freshman of the Year in the year before, and was the starter for three seasons at auburn, announced on Sunday that he was transferring to Oregon.
