According to sources, the Los Angeles Lakers have signed guard Darren Collison to a 10-day contract after his sudden retirement in 2019.

The Brooklyn Nets are expected to have Collison in the lineup on Saturday. Sources said he worked out for the Lakers at their practice facility.

Stanley Johnson will be granted a 10-day hardship exemption by the Lakers, sources said.

Despite being offered $10 million a year by the NBA, Collison decided to retire after completing the Pacers' season.

He's talked about returning to the NBA during his time away, but finally agreed to come back now because of the turmoil throughout the league and the Lakers' need to fix their playmaking and bench.
