Sadio Mane, Edouard Mendy, and Kalidou Koulibaly have been named in the squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.

After finishing runners-up at the last edition in Egypt, Senegal will be looking to get their first continental title with the help of the reigning African Footballer of the Year, Sadio Mane.

Despite recent injuries, Aliou Cisse has selected 27 players for the tournament, including the captain of Napoli, and the leader of the Hornets.

Despite recent injury problems, Kalidou Koulibaly has been included.

At the start of the month, the 30-year-old was ruled out for December with a thigh strain, putting his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations in doubt.

He was expected to be out until February after hurting his knee in the win over Manchester United.

Edouard Mendy will represent his country at the African Cup of Nations.

Cisse took a chance on both of them before the tournament, so they can recover in time. They will face off against two other countries in the opening round.

Cisse picked Chiekhou Kouyate and Nampalys Mendy from the league.

Since November, Ismaila Sarr has not played due to an injury.
