Tesla won't allow drivers to play games while driving anymore

Some of the games in the system can be played while the vehicle is moving. That is about to end.

According to The Guardian,Tesla will stop allowing games to be played on center touch displays while cars are moving. The decision comes a day after the NHTSA said it would launch a formal investigation into whether the games ofTesla distract drivers.

Until now, the games in the cars could be played while the car was moving. A driver could easily answer "yes" to the prompt that asked them if they were a passenger, and proceeded to play the game while driving.

The Guardian was told by the NHTSA that an update would be issued by the company that would make passenger play disabled when the car is in motion. Regardless of the decision, the agency's investigation into whether the systems are a distraction to drivers will continue.

The agency launched a probe into the system.

Beach Buggy Racing 2, Solitaire, The Battle of Polytopia, Super Breakout, and Sonic the Hedgehog are some of the games that can be found in the Entertainment portion of the cars' systems. It's not clear whether the Sketch Pad and Caraoke features will work while the car is moving, and we've asked the CEO of the company if they will.
