The defending champion City hit the top spot for the first time this season after beating the Hornets on December 4th. At Christmas 2020, the side was eight points behind the leaders, but finished 12 points ahead of everyone else.
Lawro is making predictions for all the top-flight matches this season.
Both of Tears for Fears' players are Manchester United fans.

Smith and Orzabal are both Manchester United fans, but do they think the team will have a good season?
Smith was a die-hard United fan, but Orzabal converted later. He was a fan of his local club when he was a young boy, but he was drifting away from the sport until he met his bandmate in the late 1990s.
"Curt was a United fan, but I was born just outside of Pompey, so they were my first love," Orzabal said.
When I moved to Bath, I lost interest in football completely for decades, but in 1998 I was dragged by my neighbour to watch the World Cup, and things changed.
As a kid, I used to get the player cards that came with football, so I knew all the teams. Billy Bremner and Norman 'Bites Yer Legs' Hunter were the last people I watched regularly, and it was all muddy pitches and long balls.
In 1998, I was watching the beautiful colour renditions and I saw David Beckham place the ball on a dime. The world opened up for me, so I started following all the top clubs, except for the one my brother's team, because I couldn't have that.
When Manchester United lost, I would get really depressed. I realized I was a fan when I saw that. We had this thing in common after we got back together after a long hiatus.

The kind of performance we see from the Canaries will be dependent on which players they have available.

The Eagles will still pose a threat, but this is a different Spurs team, and it is interesting to see players who were on the fringes under his predecessor. His team selections are working out well.

Villa will give it a good go, just as they did when they played Manchester City at Villa Park a few weeks ago, but, like City did, they should still find a way to win.
I wouldn't be surprised if they put together a bit of a run now that they have had a few weeks to regroup. The game against the Reds on 2 January is going to be very interesting.

Eddie Howe has made improvements to the team, but not enough to get them more points. They are still losing a lot of games despite his first win of the season. They have a lot of work to do to stay up.
They will have earned 10 points from their first 19 games if they lose this. They will need 30 points from their last 19 games if they are going to reach the 40-point mark that guarantees safety.
It won't be far off, and even reaching 35 points, which has been what teams have needed for survival in two of the past three seasons, will take a phenomenal effort from here.
If they keep picking up points at the same rate, they will end up with 24 points and be demoted.

We have been slow to modernity in recent years. We have been led by our heart over our head after such an amazing time under Sir Alex Ferguson. We tried to keep the idea of former players being involved, rather than getting someone who might poke a few people in the eye.
I wish we'd gone with Jose Mourinho because he would have been the right person for two or three years. It would have been the right transition if he had gone. We got him later and then went with someone with history at the club.
