Google is the latest to cancel its in-person CES 2022 plans

The company has decided not to have an on-site presence at the event. We decided to not have a presence on the show floor of the show. The company decided that the omicron variant was the best choice for the health and safety of their teams.
It was only a matter of time before the company decided not to have a physical presence at the event. Earlier in the day, the company said it wouldn't be going to the trade show in person. The amount of money it has invested into the event in the last few years is noteworthy, as is the stature in the industry.
The Consumer Technology Association, the organization that puts together the show every year, still plans to go ahead with it. The CTA said that people who don't want to travel to Las Vegas for the show can still get digital access. The mission of the industry remains to give those who can't attend in person the ability to experience the magic of the show.
