They won't be able to sign him on the cheap, after they paid 5 million to sign him on a loan, then 18.6m over three years, and 6m in add-ons, to make the move permanent.
The United States international has been used in the centre of midfield and on the right wing 18 times this season by Massimiliano Allegri, who sees him as someone he can call upon.
The story says that if it was down to Allegri, McKennie would be staying.
The Italian outlet suggests that an offer of 30m to 35m could be enough to convince McKennie to leave.
