Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 Is Taking a Break... to Make Way for More Star Trek

The roll out of Discovery's fourth season has been changed by Paramount+. The seventh episode of the season will be available on the service on Thursday, December 30th, before taking a month and a half off. Discovery season four was delayed internationally after the show was pulled from the international streaming service just days before the season was set to premiere.

Discovery has taken a mid-season break before. The first season of the show took a month and a half break between episodes, leaving fans with a cliff-hanging twist. It is the first time that there is so much new Star Trek that it can fill the gap left by the older ones. Discovery will be back by the time Star Trek Prodigy returns for a run of episodes on January 6. There will be a second season of Picard when that is over.

There is a lot of Star Trek to think about. We need the break to catch up, but we aren't really getting a break. Paramount+ will show Star Trek: Discovery on February 10.
