Since he abandoned Russell in Oklahoma City, Kevin has worn the black hat and played the role of the villain as well as anyone we have seen in recent memory. Sometimes he gets in his feelings and can go a little far with it, but now he has gone to a whole other level of jerkness on the internet, crushing an eighth graders for merely performing a slick move on the hoop court.
The internet was buzzing after a crazy dribble spin move by a 13-year-old. Moore dribbled, turned, and put the ball behind his back but without dribbling, as he actually carried the ball behind his back instead of placing it on the floor, and then jacking up along three, of course. The move is very strange. Definitely not legal.
The person who should have been called out here is the referee standing 12 feet away, who was looking at Moore as he went through the steps of this maneuver. I am almost certain that there was at least one ref on the floor, but neither whistled to wave this off because it is a travel, double dribble, and possibly some other type of violation as well. Someone can be heard saying that it is a travel. They are not wrong.
Moore was in sixth grade when he performed the move featured in this video, and he was criticized by Durant for it. I get the tough love approach, but sometimes you need to chill out. KD could have reached out to the kid and given him some feedback since he is on the social networking site. I am pretty sure that Jayden would have appreciated that, and he would have said as much after learning of the response from Durant.

Moore said that what made him take time out of his day to say something negative instead of encouraging him or telling what really needs to be done was.
Moore kept the roast moving after he took it in stride. KD doubled down on his initial comment after the social media community jumped to Moore's defense. KD told a user that it was about habits.
There is a time and place for everything. A different delivery message can be used to convey the same message. Either he doesn't care or he doesn't get that.
It is proven that the saying about never meeting your heroes is correct. To feel KD's anger, he didn't have to meet him or seek him out. Hopefully, this will serve as motivation for Moore over the rest of his high school career.
This kid may have been given a favor by Durant. Moore is getting a lot of attention because of his basketball skills. If he is good enough, scouts will want to see him play in person if they don't find him. If Moore and his parents play this right, it could be a blessing. NIL, meet Jayden Moore. The waters of Lake Minnetonka are where he should purify himself.
