The center for the Cleveland Browns has tested positive for cancer.

The reserve/COVID-19 list has a number of players on it. Greg Newsome II was on the list.

In the game against the Las Vegas Raiders, the Browns played without 10 starters who were all on the reserve/COVID-19 list. The head coach missed the game after testing positive for the virus, but he has since cleared the protocols and is back at work.

I decided to test at our facility after experiencing mild cold-like symptoms this morning, and unfortunately, I am positive for carbon dioxide. I encourage all football players to take precautions to protect themselves and their families from this virus.

He said Wednesday that he had joined meetings virtually even though he had gotten the vaccine and was positive.

He said that he would like to feel more comfortable doing that. There are a lot of guys in the league who will make the choice. Our goal was to give guys choices on how to get through the rest of the season.

The Cleveland Indians play the Green Bay Packers on Saturday.

Grant Delpit and James Hudson III, who were both activated off the reserve list on Thursday, will be back for that game.

The quarterback is expected to play against the Packers on Christmas Day. On the 10th day of the month, Mayfield will be able to come off the list.

John Johnson III is out with a hamstring injury, and the defensive end is questionable for Saturday.

Both injuries happened in Monday's game.
