Liverpool-Leeds United clash on Boxing Day postponed as Premier League COVID-19 crisis continues



The league has had to delay a number of matches due to the coronaviruses outbreak.

"We are disappointed to confirm that our Boxing Day fixture withLiverpool has been postponed following five new positive COVID-19 cases within the first-team squad and staff," the statement said.

The Board decided that the fixture wouldn't go ahead this weekend due to the number of injuries and illnesses among the players. The club's training ground has been closed after consultation with the UK Health Security Agency.
