Midcounties PTAs given extra marketing tools and support for peaks

During the peak selling period, personal travel agents will have access to extended business support, as well as a regularly updated Customer Check List featuring the latest travel rules and restrictions.

The initiatives were outlined to the home-based agents at a series of Christmas roadshows hosted by the division's support team.

The new peaks marketing campaign includes branded assets for use on social media, online and on recently-refreshed personal websites with the slogan "Look forward to..."

Sheena Whittle, head of The Personal Travel Agents, is still positive despite December taking a downwards turn. Sales in October and November were higher than in the previous year. Sales were going up and there were fewer canceled appointments.

We hope that the new variant is a short-term set-back in a steady recovery, and we need to keep looking forward.

She said that the new look messaging was designed to capture the customers desire for their next adventure, tap into the pent-up demand and showcase that booking with an experienced agent who works in partnership with The Midcounties Co-operative is the best way to travel in 2022.
