Spanish rugby international Kawa Leauma, 32, dies after an accidental fall

He was hoping to make his international debut for Spain.

The Spanish rugby player died following a fall.

The lock forward is in a hospital with severe head injuries.

He died in the hospital after undergoing emergency surgery.

Spain's Rugby Federation said they regretted to announce the death.

The Federation refused to give more information after his wife said her husband had suffered a freak accident.

He played for a number of clubs in New Zealand before moving to Spain.

He made an unofficial appearance for Spain but was left out of the victory in Amsterdam because of questions over his eligibility.

Bill Beaumont, former England captain and World Rugby chairman, was sad to hear of the passing of Spain international Kawaleauma.

My thoughts are with his teammates and family.
