Omicron Variant Has ‘Doubling Time Of About 2 To 3 Days,’ Fauci Says

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is the reason for the rapid spread of the omicron variant, according to Dr. Anthony Fauci, the U.S. government's top infectious disease expert.

According to NBC News, Fauci said that the omicron variant will likely account for almost 100% of the cases in a week or two.

Fauci said in an interview with ABC News that the omicron variant is extremely unusual, and that we will see more cases of breakthrough Covid-19 infections, where fully-vaccinated individuals still become infections.
