The NBA teams with games on Christmas were told by the league Tuesday that changing some game times is a possibility if there are issues with the lineup.

The teams were told that filling the ABC windows for Saturday's games was the priority. Eastern. Boston at Milwaukee, Golden State at Phoenix, and Brooklyn at the Los Angeles Lakers would be the games for now.

The other games on the Christmas schedule are Atlanta at New York and Dallas at Utah. Eastern. The two games are going to be shown on the sports network.

The contingency plan for shifting game times was included in a memo the league gave to teams. It is possible that decisions on shifting times could be made as late as Friday. The rest of the day's schedule wouldn't be affected by the postponement of the Christmas game.

There have been seven postponements of NBA games so far this season. More than 100 NBA players have dealt with virus-related issues this season, with 75 of them this week alone.

The Nets currently have 10 players on the league's health and safety list, which is the highest known figure for any team, and they are one of the teams that will play on Saturday.

The 10 teams scheduled to play on Christmas had more than 30 players in the protocols on Tuesday, though those numbers can change quickly.

Toronto's Fred VanVleet and Atlanta teammates Clint Capela and Danilo Gallinari were added to the protocols list on Tuesday. The league hopes to minimize the need for postponements by allowing teams to sign replacements to hardship contracts when a player tests positive for the virus.

There were some changes to the protocols list Tuesday. The Lakers said that they would have both Howard and Horton-Tucker available for the game. Lakers coach Frank Vogel and four players are out because of protocols.
