The Athletic are three points from safety.
Three fans have been banned for three years for promoting their dislike of the club.
Steven Brown, the Latics general manager, sent a letter to the fans on Monday telling them they were banned from first team and youth games until at least 2024.
One of the trio said he was shocked to be banned from the club and labelled it a "dictatorship".
The club and Brown have been contacted.
"I have not done anything," said Knowles, a member of the foundation. I've spoken out about the ownership of the club.
It's not going to stop, it's a dictatorship. People are more vocal than we are. There needs to be a regulator for the reforms. It's going to make supporters more enthusiastic.
Brown said in the letter that he had been asked by the club's board of directors to review the actions of individuals that they felt were deliberately geared to harm and cause distress to the club, its fans and stakeholders.
Three fans have shown their desire to promote their dislike of the club, its management and progression, and are influencing others to do the same.
Richard Bowden resigned from his post and claimed that the letter he received was incorrect.
It sets a dangerous precedent.
Fans have protested against Lemsagam on a number of occasions this season.
Hundreds of fans did not attend the 5-5 draw with Forest Green in December because of a fan appeal to 'Empty the Park'.
The Latics are currently without a manager and are in danger of being demoted to the National League, three points from safety.
The situation has set a dangerous precedent according to Steve Shipman.
He said that there has been animosity towards the ownership for some time.
"If they start banning supporters who speak against the club's ownership then there will be a lot of people who will be expecting a letter to come through the door."
