Colts Pro Bowl center Ryan Kelly missed the team's Week 15 game because of the death of his infant daughter.

Kelly posted an emotional message on social media about the death of Mary Kate, who was born on Friday at 19 weeks. Kelly and his wife, Emma, announced on social media that they were expecting a baby on October 31. Mary Kate's heart stopped, but there was no choice but to deliver the baby.

Kelly wrote on his account that "nothing made me happier than being your Dad." You gave my mom and I a gift. You were a miracle and will always be. I'm sorry you didn't get to see us or take your first steps, but you have angel wings now. We know that God had a bigger purpose for you, even though you left this world too soon. Your mom and I know you're loved by your great-grandparents. Thank you for watching us. I'll never know who you would be today. I love you until we meet again.

Frank Reich said the team honored Ryan and Emma Kelly after their victory. After the game, Bill Belichick acknowledged the Kellys.

"First of all, I would like to extend my sympathies to Ryan and his family," said the coach. Our hearts go out to him.
