The successor to the Mi 11 will be launched on December 28th, the company announced via its official Weibo account. The company decided to phase out its Mi branding earlier this year and will now be called theXiaomi 12 series. The poster features a sprinter from China, which indicates that the event is likely to be focused on the Chinese market.
According to Gadgets 360, there could be as many as four different devices in the 12 series lineup. It is possible that not all of them will be announced during the December event, although this year's Mi 11 Ultra wasn't announced until late March. The other three phones were used by the executives to post to their Weibo accounts.
There aren't many official details about the upcoming handsets, but they will be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The leaker, who goes by the name ofUniverseIce, shared marketing images of the phones that feature hole-punch cameras. The leaked renders show a triple rear camera with a 50-megapixel primary sensor.
Although it doesn't have much of a presence in the US, the second biggest phone manufacturer in Europe and the second biggest manufacturer in the world, is Chinese company Xiaomi. The demand for phones like the Mi 11 is driven by the fact that they are comparable to the flagships of other companies.
The international version of the Mi 11 was launched in February this year, so it's likely that it will arrive after the December event.
