During and after their 17-9 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night, the Bears racked up five personal fouls out of nine total penalties, including a rare flag against coach Matt Nagy for arguing about a call.

They didn't express any regrets afterwards.

"Some of these calls are starting to get a little crazy," said Robert Quinn, who earlier Monday was named to his third Pro Bowl. The refs seem to be controlling the game too much. When a play is clean and they throw a flag for something that they thought could change a game, let the guys play ball. Half of this stuff wouldn't be called if it was a couple years ago. They have so many stupid rules that they could change the game in a second.

I think they need to check the refs they hire.

Two plays after the Bears were flagged for a hit on the Vikings' Tyler Conklin, Nagy was flagged for a hit on Bears safety Deon Bush. Bush had committed "forcible contact" against Conklin, a contention Nagy disputed during the game.

Nagy said he saw what happened. I saw what happened when our guys were fighting to get off the field. I explained what I thought about it. I don't regret it.

Novak told the reporter that Nagy used inappropriate language.

"I won't repeat what was said but when it crosses the line and it's inappropriate, we throw a flag," Novak said.

Both teams were tense. Bears defensive lineman Gipson and offensive lineman Teven were both fined 15 yards for aggression toward Vikings players. Vikings LB Eric Kendricks was ejected in the fourth quarter for a hit to the head of Bears quarterback Justin Fields, who was sliding and considered down.

I didn't get a good explanation. They thought he had an elbow to a head when they ejected him. I thought the quarterback slid and kept his head up, and Eric was trying to avoid it, and I thought they bumped heads.

The team did a good job of keeping their cool in the chippy game against the rival.

He said that it helped them because they got 15-yard penalties. We try to be a disciplined football team. When you get challenged with your manhood, you have to keep calm and just do your job.

"Chicago is always like that," said Jefferson. They like to talk trash and get us out of our game. That's what they do. We play our own game and keep playing football.
