Germany Bans UK Visitors Effective December 20, 2021

Visitors to the UK are not allowed to enter the country according to Germany.

German nationals and those with residence permits can enter, but must have a negative test for the disease for 72 hours and be in a hospital for two weeks. If you are travelling from the UK to Germany, you must have a negative test for the PCR-RT if you are outside of Germany.

The countries of the High risk areas are the only places where the following booked passengers can be carried by Lufthansa.

All passengers with a final destination in Germany must present a negative test result at the time of departure. The test must not have been done more than 72 hours before the arrival time in Germany. There is a requirement for an online registration on the website. Proof of immunity can be presented in the form of a digital or analogue test proof that is at least 28 days old and no more than six months old.

All passengers on a connecting flight to a destination outside of Germany must observe the entry regulations.

All guests with final destination in Germany must follow the local rules. The German Federal Ministry of Health has information about this.

The countries of the Virus variant areas are only allowed for the following booked passengers to be carried by Lufthansa.

Passengers with a valid residence permit in Germany are required to present a German registration certificate. The passengers must present a negative test result at the time of departure. The test had to be done before the arrival time in Germany. A German passenger with a connecting flight needs to register online.

If you have a connecting flight to a destination outside Germany, you can leave the transit area in Frankfurt or Munich. The transit area in Germany requires a negative test to be carried out no later than 72 hours before the time of arrival.

All guests with final destination in Germany must follow the local rules. The German Federal Ministry of Health Arrivals contains information about the 14-day quark obligation from the above- mentioned countries.

All passengers on a connecting flight to a destination outside Germany must observe the entry and scurvy regulations of the destination country. There may be restrictions on the carriage of passengers who are not travelling back to their home country. Please use the Regulation page.

Conclusion.

The situation with the Omicron Covid-19 is getting worse in Europe and travel restrictions are being put in place again.

Dutch have gone into an almost complete lock down from today, and travel from the UK to EU/Schengen is becoming more difficult now that France and Germany have banned arrivals.
