Artist Shuts Down Because People Keep Stealing Their Work to Make NFTs

Liam Sharp, a comic artist who has worked for DC Comics, is tired of having his work stolen. Sharp decided to close his gallery on DeviantArt because people keep stealing his art and making NFTs.

Many NFTs circulating online are the result of copyright theft. DeviantArt is working with OpenSea to develop an alert system to stop this kind of thing from happening.

Sharp wrote in a twit that he can't report each one and make a case which is ignored. It was sad and frustrating.

Race to the bottom.

Stan Lee has been sucked into the NFT craze from beyond the grave. His official account was being used to sell an NFT in the form of an image of a superhero.

One person wrote that using Stan Lee's account to promote an NFT gets you sent straight to hell.

NFTs aren't the answer to artists and creators looking to be fairly compensated or even just recognized for their hard work

NFTs are being created from copyrighted material, but they are still a risky investment. Thousands of people are left out in the cold by the NFT marketplace.

The risks of the token are not as great as they used to be, with the likes of Nike and Mrs. Trump jumping on the bandwagon.

That could be bad news for artists trying to make a living from their art.

NFT theft is still a problem on DeviantArt.

Nike bought the company that made the cybersneaker.
