Chris Godwin will miss the rest of the season after his knee injury was diagnosed as a sprained MCL, according to a report.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Godwin should be back in time for the playoffs.

After catching six passes for 49 yards in the first quarter, Godwin left the game early in the second quarter.

Mike Evans and Leonard Fournette both left the game because of injuries, leaving the Bucs' offense without two of its best players. It helps explain why Brady's offense was shut out for the first time in 15 years.

The injuries are a major hit to the chances of the team finishing with the top seed in the conference. The Packers are currently the top team.

Antonio Brown will return from a three-game suspension in Week 16. Brown and safety Mike Edwards will be welcomed back by their coach after leaving their statuses up in the air.

"It's in the best interest of our football team," he said. We'll welcome them back, they've served their time.

The best chance to repeat as Super Bowl champion will be if all three of them are healthy. Secondaries don't have the resources to fight that trio.

In particular, Godwin is having a great year. He's already set a new career high with 98 catches, which is third in the NFL, to go along with 1,103 yards and five touchdown in 14 games.

He will have around a month to recover before the playoffs begin. Next up for the reigning champ is a road game.
