The Broncos announced that Teddy Bridgewater was released from a Denver-area hospital Monday morning and is doing well.

The team said that he will enter the concussion protocol.

The veteran quarterback was injured while diving for a first down with 5:34 remaining in the third quarter and the Broncos facing second-and-5 from their own 30-yard line. He did not move after landing on the field.

The Broncos' medical staff strapped him to a backboard and took him off the field on a cart.

All 14 of the Broncos' games have been started by quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. He left Denver's loss to the Baltimore Ravens at halftime with a concussion.

In the second half of that game, he did not play, but he did play the following week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The eighth-year veteran had thrown for a career-best 18 touchdown passes and was poised to set a single-season best for passing yards.

Drew Lock took over at quarterback for the Broncos as they fell behind the Cincinnati. In Denver's 15-10) loss, Lock was 6-of-12 passing for 88 yards and one touchdown.
