According to multiple reports, the NBA and NBPA have reached an agreement that will allow teams to sign one replacement player for every rostered player who tests positive for COVID-19, and will be required to sign a replacement player if they post two positive tests.

Two-way players will no longer have a cap on the number of appearances they can make.

Sources said that two-way players now have no limit on the number of games they can play.

If a team has fewer than four players out, they won't be allowed to add a replacement player.

The NBA has a growing list of players who are in the league's health and safety protocols. The league had already postponed seven games.
The NBA is not the only professional sports that have issues.

The NHL has put in health and safety protocols for around 70 players and has had to delay a number of games. Cross-border travel between the United States and Canada has been halted through January 1st due to stricter protocols put in place by the league.

The Philadelphia Eagles vs Washington Football Team game was moved to Tuesday due to the outbreak of coronaviruses.

The Omicron variant and an increase in cases around sports has become a major issue nearly two years after the COVID-19 outbreak. NBA teams may be forced to field teams with multiple replacement players as the league and the NBPA look to avoid a temporary stop in play.
